September 13, 2018 my dad and I packed up our dogs, my stuff, and drove to Minnesota. By the end of September my condo in California had sold, and I had an offer on a house in Minneapolis. By October 23, 2018, I had closed and moved into my new home. I have now reached my 1 year Minnesota-Versary! YEAH!!! There have been a ton of changes in my life the past year. New state, new home, new seasons, lots of travel, home improvement projects (aka New Roof and kitchen and plants in the top 2 photos). I’ve had lots of fun and laughter with my Minnesota family, and I’ve made some new friends. Don’t get me wrong, there have been lots of challenges. But I am meeting those challenges and taking them day by day. I’m making new friends, learning how to get things fixed at my house, digging up plants in my yard, job hunting and learning to drive in snow and ice and polar vortexes. I am in a new culture and am loving it. People are still aghast to find out I willingly chose to move from California to Minnesota. But you know what, I would do it all over again. When you take a chance, go on an adventure, and reach for BIG GOALS…it CHANGES YOUR LIFE!!!!! I haven’t had a panic attack for 5 months! Until I moved last year, I was having them daily. Sometimes multiple times a day. To get this much prolonged relief is huge! I know this blog has a small reach, but if you are reading this post, I hope you feel encouraged to take that leap. Take that crazy sounding adventure, reach for that big goal. Be Brave and let your life be changed by all that you learn during the journey. That is my hope and prayer for you my readers.
